Air Vice Marshal Eric Agyen-Frempong is a distinguished senior officer of the Ghana Air Force with an illustrious career spanning over three decades. He was born on 14 June, 1968 in Tarkwa in the Western Region of Ghana. He began his secondary education at Ghana Secondary School from 1981 to 1982 and later attended Mfantsipim School from 1982 to 1988, where he obtained a General Certificate of Education at both Ordinary and Advanced Levels.

Air Vice Marshal Agyen-Frempong holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Tourism and Resource Management from the University of Cape Coast in 2002. He furthered his academic qualifications with a Master of Arts in International Affairs from the Legon Centre for International Affairs and Diplomacy, University of Ghana, Legon in 2007 and a Postgraduate Diploma in Air Safety Management from City University, London, UK in 2019.

AVM Agyen-Frempong was decorated with the long service and efficiency medal on 24 June 2019. He served as a governing board member of the Narcotics Control Commission and the Ghana Civil Aviation Authority from 2009 to 2011 and 2017 to 2021 respectively. He is married and blessed with three children. In his personal time, he enjoys playing squash and walking.
