A total of 23 participants, comprising 21 personnel drawn from various Air Force Bases and two civilians, have completed the Air Traffic Controller Orientation Course at the Ghana Air Force Aviation College (GHAFAC) on Friday, 22 May 2026.

The six-week course was organised to enhance the knowledge and operational competencies of personnel within the Operations Branch of the Ghana Air Force. The training focused on key areas such as air traffic control procedures, standard communication phraseology, situational awareness, and decision-making in a simulated operational environment that reflects real-world aviation operations.

In his remarks, the Guest of Honour and Support Group Commander, Group Captain Benjamin Mliwomo Worlanyo Adjani, commended both instructors and participants for their dedication, commitment and resilience throughout the training period.
According to him, the course was carefully designed to equip participants with the fundamental knowledge and practical skills required to effectively manage complex air traffic systems, respond appropriately to emergencies and ensure seamless coordination between military and civilian aviation operations.

He encouraged participants to apply the knowledge and skills acquired during the course in the discharge of their duties upon returning to their respective units, stressing that their contribution would support the continued growth and operational effectiveness of the Ghana Air Force.

Group Captain Adjani further admonished participants to uphold the highest standards of safety, accuracy, professionalism and efficiency, noting that these qualities remain essential in aviation management and critical to maintaining operational competence and readiness in Air Traffic Operations.
He also underscored the importance of continuous training and professional development, emphasising that these opportunities remain vital to enhancing the capabilities and knowledge of personnel within the Ghana Air Force.
