The Ghana Air Force male and female volleyball teams emerged champions of the maiden “De Tour Du Accra” volleyball tournament held on Sunday, 9 November 2025, at the Laboma beach in Accra.

The tournament, which brought together elite volleyball teams from across the Greater Accra Volleyball Association (GAVA), saw the Air Force side dominate their matches from the preliminary rounds to the finals. In a thrilling final game played under the vibrant coastal atmosphere of Laboma Beach, the Air Force Male team defeated University of Ghana, Sun Spikers, Kalibi, and La Pioneers to clinch the first position in the competition with a commanding performance, securing the championship title. The women's team, on the other hand, also defeated Ghana Police, Ghana Navy, and the El-Wak Wings to dominate the women's competition.

Delivering his remarks at the closing ceremony, the Chairman of the beach soccer league committee, Mr Yaw Kusi, commended the organisers and the volleyball federation for a well-ordered and successful event. He described the tournament as a testament to effective teamwork, dedication, and the passion of all stakeholders involved in promoting the sport.

He extended heartfelt congratulations to all the teams that participated, acknowledging their courage, determination, and sportsmanship throughout the competition.

At the end of the tournament, medals, trophies, and a television set were presented to the Ghana Air Force volleyball teams for winning the championship title.
